Guest Effect Controls

The Effects screen lets tour guests interact with your layout's effects. Guests can trigger sounds, lighting changes, and animations through simple tap controls โ€” no technical knowledge required.

Effect Cards

Each guest-accessible effect appears as a card with a toggle button. Tap the card to activate the effect; tap again to deactivate it. Effects are organized in a responsive grid that works well on tablets and phones.

Effect types include:

  • ๐Ÿ’ก Lighting โ€” Street lights, building lights, signal effects
  • ๐Ÿ”Š Sound โ€” Train horns, crossing bells, ambient audio
  • ๐ŸŽฌ Animation โ€” Moving elements, animated signs
  • โšก Relay โ€” Electrical switching for powered accessories

Auto-Timeout Effects

Some effects automatically deactivate after a set duration โ€” for example, a grade crossing bell might ring for 10 seconds before turning off, or a mountain echo horn might sound for 8 seconds. This prevents effects from being left on indefinitely by guests.

Which Effects Appear

Only effects marked as guest-accessible in the Cloud app appear on this screen. Layout operators control which effects visitors can interact with, keeping sensitive or operator-only effects hidden from the guest view.
